Behind this site is the Söderåsen collaboration, run by the four municipalities of Bjuv, Klippan, Svalöv and Åstorp, and Söderåsen National Park. We want to showcase the amazing breadth of Söderåsen and establish the area as a world-class sustainable nature destination.
Söderåsen is a 150-million-year-old horst in northwestern Skåne. Here you will find Skåne's highest point and Scanian wilderness with forests, high cliffs and mysterious waters.
The site provides inspiration and links to activities, accommodation, places to eat and the various gates of Söderåsen, the start of your adventure.
Söderåsen has lots to offer - get out and discover!
Söderåsen cooperation
For many years, the Söderå municipalities have collaborated in both tourism and business, developed and established a good Söderåsen cooperation, and in various processes worked on the development of a sustainable nature destination together with the industry to lift Söderåsen.
LEADER project Söderåsen 2.0 2022-2024
The LEADER project Söderåsen 2.0 was a collaboration between the municipalities of Åstorp, Klippan, Bjuv and Svalöv together with Söderåsen National Park. The project ran from January 2022 to June 2024 with the aim of developing Söderåsen as a destination.
In Söderåsen 2.0, we established more gateways to Söderåsen, and engaged the industry in developing experiences. We continued to work on key elements such as training and skills development for the actors involved in the project. We further developed the common market platform that highlights the local and unique aspects of Söderåsen as a visitor destination. Of course, collaboration was a continued focus area, and a long-term systematic and sustainable destination work.
The project was run according to the LEADER method where local needs are met. It is a partnership between municipalities, businesses, associations and the national park. The LEADER project was partly financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, and is based on the involvement of actors in the tourism industry.
LEADER project Destination Söderåsen 2018-2021
In 2018-2021, the LEADER project Destination Söderåsen was implemented. During the project, a vision and a common brand were developed. Analyses were made and tested with the aim of developing Söderåsen as a sustainable tourist destination with greater and better opportunities for the local tourism industry.
A project application was submitted to the LEADER office with the name Destination Söderåsen project on October 1, 2018 until March 31 with an extension until (September 30) 2021. Behind the project, in addition to the four municipalities Bjuv, Klippan, Svalöv, Åstorp, are also Söderåsens National Park, which in parallel is working on its own certification process in sustainable tourism destination through EUROPARC.
The project idea is a joint development process between public actors, private companies and non-profit associations in the tourism industry and the aim of the project is to create increased business benefits and development opportunities through skills development and joint marketing.
