Kågeröd

the rural gateway - part of Söderåsen

Kågeröd, with its location in the countryside, offers proximity to both nature and larger cities.

Located on the southern slope of Söderåsen, Kågeröd is characterized by its history and the special feature of the Vegeån river that flows through the village. Kågeröd's mader is a unique nature area with wetlands and in Hallabäckens nature reserve you can experience generous nature with lush deciduous forests and rippling water. Another nearby and popular area is Finnstorp's hiking area, which is partly accessible. Kågeröd offers good communication facilities with a new train station and the Söderås railway that stops here. Around Kågeröd you will find several popular attractions, including a motorway and the castle where the famous astronomer Tycho Brahe was born in 1546.
