An active vacation with fast-paced experiences. An exciting challenge in forest terrain. Or do you prefer to cruise along a country road at a leisurely pace and see a lot along the way? Whether it's the journey itself that you're after, or if you're mostly looking for the next adventure, cycling is an excellent option as a means of transportation. On Söderåsen there are several different routes to choose from.
Bicycle rental
Pensionat Söderåsen offers bicycle rental and guides you through the range of tours.
SöderåsensMTB offers rental of mountain bikes, trekking bikes and electric bikes. Here you will find everything you need for a nice cycling in Söderåsen's nature or on the mountain bike trails. You get help with maps, Gpx files and can book a guide. The rental is in Ljungbyhed and in Billesholm.
Cycling in Söderåsen National Park
Söderåsens National Park has produced suggestions for cycle-friendly small roads in the park. The tours are of different lengths and can be combined into longer tours. You can download the leaflet with a map here.
Experience Skåne from the saddle
Cykelleden Skåne offers the cyclist over 57 miles of cycle path and passes a variety of experiences in the form of nature, culture, accommodation and food. The part of the trail that passes Söderåsen is called 102 and runs between Ystad and Båstad. With Cykelleden Skåne, a wider range of quality-assured and attractive cycle paths is created that offer the cyclist varied nature and experiences throughout Skåne. Mountain biking in Klåveröd's hiking area
On winding hilly paths, over roots and rocks and on easy forest roads, there is a 5.3 km marked mtb trail in Klåveröd. It's not an extreme route, but still challenging enough. You can easily get lactic acid in some of Söderåsen's steep slopes. From May 31, 2020, there is also a new blue-marked mtb trail, 14 km, which is being tested for a year. The idea is to meet the public's desire for more bike trails in hiking areas. Read more here.
Mountain biking in Billesholm
Team Albert Mountainbike club has outside Billesholm built a 5 km long Mtb course. Welcome to try this varied technically designed course in changing nature. Bring your own mountain bike and explore the unique environment around Schakt Albert. More information about the course and the club or bike rental see the website.
Dressage cycling
If you want to experience a different type of cycling, there is a trolley rental in Nybygget, Klippan. You cycle on a 6.5 km long railway track towards Ljungbyhed with cozy places for coffee stops along the way. Open April to October. Advance booking is recommended. Read more and book here.
Canoe & Dressin
Combine canoeing and dressage and get two experiences in one! No more hassle with the car as you return to the starting point with the dressage bike.
You start your paddle in Ljungbyhed and paddle for about two and a half hours on the Rönne river, down to Forsmöllan. When you put your canoe in the designated place, you walk about 600 meters to the start of the dressage cycle. Then you cycle back to the starting point and leave the trolley there and we will take care of it. You get two wonderful experiences in one and avoid all the hassle of transportation.
